How to Make a Chicken Quesadilla

The campfire foil packet chicken quesadillas recipe may be simple, but that does not suggest it is incapable of being elevated to another level of perfection.

Following these methods to make the greatest chicken quesadilla, crisp on the exterior and gooey on the inside, that has the perfect filling-to-cheese ratio:

Don’t use too much oil. If you add excessive oil in the pan during cooking, your quesadilla will get greasy. I normally prepare my quesadillas in a nonstick pan using either no oil (the tortilla doesn’t usually require it) or a little nonstick spray to prevent sticking.

Shred your own cheese. Have you ever puzzled why your campfire foil packet chicken quesadillas recipe cheese isn’t as silky and gooey as the one from your preferred restaurant’s? Most likely, you used prebagged cheese, which, although handy, is covered with a granular material to prevent clumps. Sadly, the powder causes the cheese to not melt as nicely.

Be careful. I understand that you want to turn up the heat and get started right away, but if you overheat the pan, the tortilla will scorch before the cheese melts inside.
Allow part of the cheese to melt and escape the tortilla. Alternatively, sprinkle some more cheese on over of the tortilla a few minutes ahead of turning. The creamy  cheese will turn golden and crispy, making it snackable.

Recipe Adjustements

If you choose not to use the stove, you can still prepare delicious campfire foil packet chicken quesadillas recipe over an outdoor grate or over the campfire. You only need a bit of foil and, if you’re using a campfire, an iron grate. The idea is to take a single tortilla, load on your contents, fold it nearly like a burrito, and cover in foil.

After that, place the foil packet on the grates and heat till the cheese is melted and the tortilla is somewhat crispy. The thing I love most is that you get gorgeous grill marks using the foil, something you can’t get with a skillet at at home!

Throughout the year, we enjoy preparing these quesadillas on our grill. A nice and simple dinner! If you wish to avoid having to prepare the chicken during your camping excursion, prepare it the night before time and take it along to make the quesadillas. For an even faster option, simply buy a fully cooked chicken from Walmart and you’re practically done. You may also prepare the remaining ingredients ahead of time, leaving you with only the quesadillas to assemble!
