In a bowl, mix the black pepper, ground espresso, brown sugar, onion powder and salt for the dry rub. Season the ribs thoroughly with the dry rub and let sit for 30 minutes in fridge.
Marinate the ribs in the espresso for 4 to 6 hours.
Prepare your outdoor fire or cooking grill.
Cut spareribs into serving size portions.
Cook over the fire for 1 1/2 hours covered in a cast iron skillet.
Cook ribs on the preheated grill uncovered for 30 minutes, basting with BBQ sauce.
